Biography:

Laura Andrée Anna-Elisabeth Guy. Professional contemporary dancer, movement teacher & yoga teacher. Laura Guy is French/ Danish and currently based in Berlin, Germany. 
Laura started being attracted to movement & dance already at the age of 2 were she started dancing around at home as well as in the local dancing community in Valence, France. While growing up in a bilingual and bicultural home (France & then Denmark) Laura was attracted to the sounds, the movement, and the creative aspects of life from a very young age. Inspired by her little sister (Mathilde Guy) She attended the regular dance, theatre, and music classes and participated in several musicals until she left home in 2007. In 2014 Laura Guy got her BA in dance and performing arts (at Dancework, Berlin), she immediately after started working with Le Marchepied in Lausanne, but a short time after she moved back to Berlin to discover the European freelance dance scene. Since then Laura has worked with different choreographers and artists & film producers such as: Amit Goldenberg (Former Batsheva Dancer), Ensemble Dance Company (London), Jo Ehnsiö & Totalteatern Arvika (Sweden), Valcume Compagnie (Berlin), Tom Tykwer (Babylon Berlin, film Serie) & Anna Luna Holmberg/ Luminoir Ensemble. 
In June 2016 Laura Guy´s work (River of life) was invited to be presented in Gdansk dance Festival, Solo Dance Contest, & OPUS International Competition of young Dance Performers. Short after she got the opportunity to work with the Italian choreographer: Frederica Bottini, where she performed UP STAY UP in Berlin, Lake Studios & in 2017 reperformed at the Skopje Dance Fest Macedonia. 
In 2017 She joined the Ephemera Dance Company and has been working with the company as a freelance dancer. In November 2017 Laura decided to travel to India to get certified as a Yoga Teacher and gain more knowledge of the human body and its possibilities. After her long journey, Laura came back to Berlin in January 2018 to continue her work as a freelance dancer with various companies and independent choreographers. Laura also teaches movement and improvisation while conducting private Yoga sessions online and live in the studio. 



NEWS: Laura Guy created her newest short piece (INSIDE) which got to be performed in Poetic Hafla No.14 – Women´s Edition, Lettrétage in February 2017.
